The Android 5.0 Rumor

Rumors in the tech world are ripe that Google could be preparing to unveil the new Android Jellybean in the 3rd quarter of this year. This is believed to coincide with the Google I/O in June, during the company’s annual developer conference.

Though there is not much information yet on the new Android, some quarters are already making up their lists on the features that they want included. These range from full Chrome browser, keyboards, power efficiency, themes, to faster OS. However, it could prove to be problematic as more manufacturers release devices that run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Moreover, another issue raised involves manufacturing of devices that run on Android that are nearly 2 years old due to the customization methods used by manufacturers, which make it harder to update it to the latest Android version. A lot of people are crossing their fingers that this will not happen to the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie to allow them the default experience of the OS.
